Gill's book makes the case for child-friendly planning
A new book by the children’s play and mobility advocate, Tim Gill, has been published by RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects).
Urban Playground - how child-friendly planning and design can save cities aims to ‘elevate the status of children in city-building’ and includes case studies of child-friendly planning initiatives from cities such as London, Tel Aviv, Tirana and Barcelona.
In his foreword to the book, Gil Penalosa, Founder and Chair of 8 80 Cities, says it is a ‘must-read for anyone interested in cities and people’.
The book can be ordered from RIBA. A full review will appear here soon.
