Unicef joins conference line-up
Naomi Danquah, programme director for Unicef’s Child Friendly Cities and Communities initiative in the UK, has been announced as an additional speaker for Play 2021, the new conference on children, play and space to be held at the University of Birmingham and online on 7-8 July.
Unicef’s CFCI is a worldwide programme based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It works with local authorities to put children’s rights into practice.
The UK programme aims ‘to create cities and communities where all children – whether they are living in care, using a children’s centre, or simply visiting their local library – have a meaningful say in, and truly benefit from, the local decisions, services and spaces that shape their lives’.
Naomi joins a line-up for Play 2021 that includes Tim Gill, Helen Dodd and Kate Cowan. A second call for papers for parallel session presentations and workshops closes on 30 April.
